FLOOR RESPONSE SPECTRUM FOR SEISMIC DESIGN: INTERVENTION ON A HIGH-RISE BUILDING IN MILAN

The purpose of this study is the investigation of spectral amplification effects on a high-rise building located in Milan. The results of these analyses will be useful for the seismic design of a steel structure to be placed at the roof of the building. The comparison between the ground spectrum and the roof spectrum shows that dynamic amplifications can be significant, beyond the fundamental period of the structure.
