The AD-VITAM project, Analisi Della Vulnerabilità Dei Territori Alpini Mediterranei Ai Rischi Naturali (Analysis of the Vulnerability of Mediterranean Alpine Territories to Natural Risks), aims to improve the resilience of territories subject to landslide risk.

The project focuses on the ALCOTRA (Alpi Latine Cooperazione TRAnsfrontaliera) cross-border area between France and Italy, an area extremely vulnerable to geological hazards.
This thesis aims to analyze the case study of Ville San Pietro, a town located in the hinterland of Imperia, within the municipality of Borgomaro. The site is located on a slope at about 500 m.a.s.l.

In this thesis, the student wants to study the Ville San Pietro area: in particular, to create a valid finite element model of the slope using the Midas FEA NX and Plaxis 2D softwares, paying attention to the calibration and validation phases.
